EQUIP is a highly practical programme to ensure that women have the key tools and techniques to be the best candidate they can be. It is a three day residential campaign school, to train, support and mentor women running for election. Our programme is tailored not only to meet the very specific challenges that women face, but also to develop the unique skills needed to run for a national election or manage a campaign.

EQUIP 2015, supported by The Ireland Funds,  took place from September 7th to 9th 2015, and focused on preparing candidates running in the upcoming general election.

The Programme

The Women for Election EQUIP programme is Ireland’s first ever political campaign school.   A three-day residential programme, it is designed to provide in-depth, practical training for female candidates and female campaign managers in advance of local/national/EU elections in a cross-party environment.  Whether currently elected or running for election for the first time, EQUIP is designed to provide the skills and grounding necessary to contest an election campaign.
